Skills Development
Nyeleti Consulting has implemented a skills development framework and supports the concept of improving the skills of the company's workforce. Skill levies are paid on a monthly basis to support the financing of the levy grant scheme as well as ensure that all training reflects current requirements of the construction sector.
The company has a registered skills development plan which includes a facilitator with CETA (Construction Education and Training Authority) to facilitate this process. Nyeleti currently supports:
- Five full-time civil engineering students at university, three of them black
- Seven staff members enrolled for post graduate/diploma courses, five of them black of which two are female
- Three learnerships, two of them black.
Nyeleti's expenditure on training and development of staff exceeds the targets set by BBBEE legislation.
Continued Professional Development
Nyeleti Consulting encourages staff to increase their skills as well as promote their careers by means of further study, attending conferences and seminars and holding in-house discussions to contribute towards empowerment.
Continued professional development plays an intergral role in transforming the workplace and establishing a culture of lifelong learning at Nyeleti Consulting.
Enterprise development
Nyeleti formed an association with black owned companies, R & R Consulting Engineers, Masana Engineering Consultants and Rupee Consulting. The firm has an enterprise development agreement with this company and provide it with technical and business management support on a continuous basis.
Professional registration mentorship program
Nyeleti has a formal mentorship program in place. This mentorship program has been set up with the objective of guiding the training and development of engineers, technologists and technicians as to enable them to register professionally.
